View pictures from 2017 here. 2015 Makers Day River Dell High School Invention Club demonstrates a 3D printer. Amy Convocar of Top Cakes leads a hands-on demonstration of using fondant to make decorative cupcakes. The button-maker is fun for all ages. Some picked pre-made designs; some created their own designs. It was a day to celebrate! Oradell Public Library launched Make YOUR Space, a new makerspace, in conjunction with the first annual state-wide NJ Makers Day. Bill Dunphy displayed and shared his knowledge on the intricacies of antique radios. Environmental Educator and Naturalist Joanne Chack helped participants make bird feeders out of recycled materials. We were so happy to have the Girl Scouts volunteer their time. Here, one experiments with the button maker. Participants made their own tool box, thanks to Home Depot. Our knitting circle, led by the amazing Lisa & Ginny. The River Dell High School Invention Club demonstrated how they are making learning more accessible in Ghana, Africa. Kids learn electronics and circuitry using Snap Circuit boards. United Water demonstrated the water cycle with a fun, hands-on project.
