Archive Collection

Welcome to the Oradell Public Library’s Archive Collection web site. We hope you find what you’re looking for. But, if you don’t, please call our Adult Services Librarian at 201-262-2613.

If you wish to set up an appointment to visit the Local History Room, please contact Borough Historian / Archivist William “Pat” Schuber at the Library at 201-262-2613 or email the Library Director John J. Trause at trause@oradell.bccls.org.

To get into the archives, select a subject from the list below, then just point and click. Once the table is open (and the larger ones can take a bit of time to load), you can search by scrolling down the list, or more quickly by typing Ctrl F and then typing in a key word. This will move you through the table faster. When you are finished with a particular table, just click on the “Back” icon on the tool bar.

All tables, except the tables dealing with photographs, have a Ser # (Series number) and a Pg # (Page number). Please make note of these because they will guide the Adult Services Librarian right to what you’re looking for. NOTE There are no Ser # or Pg # in the photograph or Peoples tables. When, and if, you find the name you want, just give the last and first name to the Adult Services Librarian and she will look up the listing of that name and help you find the pictures. You may contact Orla Cassidy, Adult Services Librarian, by email at orla.cassidy@oradell.bccls.org.
