Updates to Libby and Kanopy

Starting October 8, Libby and Kanopy will require you to enter your password to continue or start borrowing.

This is the password associated with your library account. Everyone has one.

If You Don’t Know Your Password

By default, your password is the last four digits of your library card number.
If you have an email address associated with your account, you can reset your password online. Click here to reset your password. You will need to enter your barcode, which is the number on the back of your library card. Do not enter the spaces.
If you cannot reset your password online, call or visit the library (click here for our hours) with your library card or ID.

Entering Your Password in Libby

After October 8, when you access Libby, you will be prompted to verify your card. You will only have to do this once.

Enter your library account number (the number on the back of your card with no spaces)
Enter your password
You will receive a success message when your account is verified.

Entering Your Password in Kanopy

After October 8, when you access Kanopy, you will be prompted to enter your password. You will only have to do this once.

Visit kanopy.com
Log into your account with your email address and Kanopy password
Select the menu button in the upper-right corner
Click “My Account” and then “My Libraries”
Select “Re-enter your login information”
Enter your library account number (the number on the back of your card with no spaces)
Enter your password
Click Save (website), Verify (iOS), or Continue (Android).

Full Service Restored

The Library is open for doorside pickup and other services according to this schedule:
Monday through Friday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sunday: Closed

Please use the delivery ramp entrance on Kinderkamack Road.

Note that the book drop is now open.

We look forward to reopening the Library for full services and programs as soon as the reconstruction is finished. The current work schedule provided to us by the Borough calls for all work to be completed before the start of the school year.

During the roof replacement and water damage remediation, the Library will be closed for repairs.

Remember that the BCCLS Catalog is open 24/7.

Doorside Pickup

The safety of our patrons and staff is our highest priority at this time. Please follow these procedures:

Return of items must be made in the book drop, not inside the Library.
Anyone entering the Library must wear a mask at all times.
Everyone, staff and patrons, must keep a safe distance from one another at all times.
Congregating is not permitted.
No one may bring furniture into the Library

This policy augments the Behavior Policy with restrictions for this period of doorside pickup service.
