Updates to Libby and Kanopy
Starting October 8, Libby and Kanopy will require you to enter your password to continue or start borrowing.
This is the password associated with your library account. Everyone has one.
If You Don’t Know Your Password
- By default, your password is the last four digits of your library card number.
- If you have an email address associated with your account, you can reset your password online. Click here to reset your password. You will need to enter your barcode, which is the number on the back of your library card. Do not enter the spaces.
- If you cannot reset your password online, call or visit the library (click here for our hours) with your library card or ID.
Entering Your Password in Libby
After October 8, when you access Libby, you will be prompted to verify your card. You will only have to do this once.
- Enter your library account number (the number on the back of your card with no spaces)
- Enter your password
- You will receive a success message when your account is verified.
Entering Your Password in Kanopy
After October 8, when you access Kanopy, you will be prompted to enter your password. You will only have to do this once.
- Visit kanopy.com
- Log into your account with your email address and Kanopy password
- Select the menu button in the upper-right corner
- Click “My Account” and then “My Libraries”
- Select “Re-enter your login information”
- Enter your library account number (the number on the back of your card with no spaces)
- Enter your password
- Click Save (website), Verify (iOS), or Continue (Android).

- Pick up your scavenger hunt form at any BCCLS library
- Visit at least three libraries between June 15 and August 15, 2026 and find the hidden BCCLS logo
- Get your form stamped with each library’s property stamp as proof of your discovery!
- Return your form to any BCCLS library by August 29
- The more libraries you visit, the more chances you get to win the grand prize!
- At the end of the summer, one adult (18+) and one child will each win a $50 Visa gift card.
